Abbie Locken (she/her)

Abbie graduated from the University of Nebraska-Omaha with her Master's in Clinical Social Work. She began her career working in agency-based settings providing services to some of the most vulnerable populations in our community. Abbie has years of experience working with individuals and families with a range of presenting problems, including trauma, safety and crisis issues. Abbie has also worked with caregivers to develop behavioral modification plans for people with disabilities and/or behavior disorders.
Abbie has tremendous knowledge and experience collaborating with community supports such as Child and Family Services, Juvenile Probation and a host of community resources. Abbie enjoys working with adolescents, adults, and families experiencing trauma, depression, anxiety, and/or life transitions.
Abbie uses several approaches in therapy to create an experience that is tailored to your individual needs. Abbie’s unique and direct approach to services provide an opportunity to partner with her clients to increase their overall well-being on their own terms.

When Abbie is not working she is likely snuggling with her pups, eating ALL the food, or watching a good binge worthy show. Backyard BBQ's and shenanigans of the sort is how she stays connected with friends and family.

Becca Vidlak (she/her)
LMHP
Becca graduated with her Master's in Counseling from Bellevue University in 2019. Becca began her career working with individuals and families through crisis situations and trauma experiences to preserve family systems and assist with managing mental health within the family home.
Becca provides a safe place for clients to be themselves and process through their experiences and emotions while learning skills and strategies to increase their mental health. Becca enjoys working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, and navigating life transitions of all kinds. Becca uses a person-centered approach for clients to maintain their role as expert of their own lives.

On Becca's off time you'll find her putting together a puzzle, watching Xena Warrior Princess, or having an epic videogame marathon. Snuggling her daughter and cats while binging tv is another favorite pass time.

Misty Carville (she/her)
LIMHP, LADC, CPC
Misty completed her Master’s of Education Degree (MSed) in Community Counseling from the University of Nebraska (Kearney) in 2010. She has completed numerous other certificate programs, continuing education and enjoys learning and growing her knowledge to best serve her clients. Misty has 20+ years’ experience in the human service and helping fields ranging from work with young children, adolescents, teen parents, adults and families. Misty completed internships at the Lincoln Regional Center, Bryan Independence Center, The Lighthouse and private practice settings. Upon completing grad school, Misty has provided services at several private practices and treatment programs in Nebraska and Montana. She facilitated trauma processing groups, relapse prevention groups, adult substance use treatment groups, supervised and conducted a co-occurring, adolescent IOP and led both adolescent and adult DBT skills groups.

Misty believes everyone in this world has value, deserves to be heard, feel good and live the best life they can, whatever that may be to them. She also understands that some wounds are so deep, they feel impossible to overcome. She knows having even one person that believes in you is sometimes all that is needed to have the confidence to live in your truth and be able to heal those wounds that are holding you back.

As a dually licensed mental health and addiction counselor, Misty can assess, diagnose, and provide ongoing treatment for those struggling with one or both problems. Misty can provide both Adult and Juvenile services for the Nebraska Probation System. She has a passion for working with youth and families, especially those impacted by addiction. Misty works with most diagnoses including ADHD, anxiety, depression, other anxiety and mood disorders, bipolar disorder, post traumatic stress disorder and co-occurring disorders. She approaches therapy by integrating various modalities based on an individuals needs. She primarily uses a person-centered focus to join the client in their healing process. Misty often utilizes cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), exposure therapy, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, and focused mindfulness techniques to help others achieve ongoing self-management. She has completed the Training for Adoption Competency (TAC) certificate program to effectively work with those impacted by adoption. Misty is a trauma specialized therapist and is now offering Brainspotting to help clients resolve trauma and mental health difficulties at a neurological level.

When she has free time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, attending sporting events and other activities she can do with her son. She enjoys traveling and experiencing nature, writing poetry, reading or binge watching favorite shows, and attending music and theater shows. She loves all things creative and watching people enjoying their best lives!!
